About Our Director


Norma celebrates her thirty-third year as a Sweet Adeline this year. She is the founding director of the Colonial Spirit Chorus and has served in many administrative and musical capacities at the Chapter, Regional, and International levels. She has been Regent, Director of Musical Activities, and Competition Coordinator and continues to serve the organization as a member of the Regional Music Faculty. In addition, she coaches a number of quartets as they pursue their musical goals.
Norma earned both a BS and MS in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at State University, Potsdam, New York and holds CEU credits from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  She and her husband George reside in Westford, MA and have four children, 2 sons-in-law, a daughter-in-law and 3 grandchildren.  In addition to her Sweet Adeline activities, Norma is a private piano and theory teacher and serves as assistant organist at St. Catherine's Parish in Westford.
